May 2020 Retrospective
May 2020 was the month of virtual events and conferences. Our team participated in many events, including speaking slots for Jonas Lamis and Christian Arita. Our team also launched the sale of the BLND token on CoinList. The cherry on top this month was that the StakerDAO Council unanimously decided to bring BLND to Tezos!
StakerDAO participated in many virtual events this month. We were very honored to have Jonas Lamis speak at Consensus Distributed, DeFi Discussions, Ready Layer One, Anon Summit 2020, and DAO night by Blockchain Game Alliance. We also had great sessions by Christian Arita at Ready Layer One and CryptoLiveLeak.

In addition to getting the technology and compliance processes to launch Blend, we have also recently been expanding our awareness efforts. Jonas has been talking about StakerDAO and Blend at many conferences including DeFi Discussions, Ready Layer One, AnonSummit, Consensus, and coming up at Messari Mainnet. We’ve also added Graham Tonkin, to the StakerDAO team as our head of business development. He is focused on outreach to interested parties, business development with exchanges, protocols, and projects, and tapping into our existing network. (Welcome Graham!)

Graham Tonkin
Graham leads business development and partnerships at StakerDAO. Graham began working in cryptofinance in 2014 after recognizing the vital importance of democratizing access to finance while working in economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa. He currently operates validation software on multiple Proof of Stake protocols and is passionate about growing the DeFi ecosystem into a viable alternative to mainstream finance. Graham holds a degree in Business Administration from California State University at Monterey Bay.
Proposal #005 on Blend on Tezos was submitted by Ops and approved by the Council. The primary purpose of this proposal was to bring BLND to Tezos!
This proposal was anticipated by the StakerDAO community and was unanimously approved by the StakerDAO Council.
We want to use this opportunity to wish the global community lots of health.
